Rwanda has a well-developed tourism industry with clear tipping guidelines, particularly for gorilla trekking experiences. Many luxury lodges include service charges in their rates, so it's advisable to check your booking details.
For gorilla trekking, which is often the highlight of a Rwanda visit, it's customary to tip your guide and porter separately after the trek. The challenging terrain and their expertise make their service particularly valuable.
