Local Customs & Etiquette

Zimbabwe has a well-established tourism industry with clear tipping expectations. USD is the primary currency for tourism services, including tips. Many lodges have communal tip boxes for general staff, while guides and specialists are usually tipped directly.

In Victoria Falls and other tourist areas, service staff rely significantly on tips. For multi-day safaris, it's customary to tip at the end of your stay.
